Hannah’s journey to becoming a Play Therapist has been one of dedication, rigorous training, and a true passion for supporting children.

Over the course of three years, Hannah undertook an intensive curriculum that combined clinical work, classroom learning and coursework. This was designed to deepen her understanding of child psychology and therapeutic techniques.

Training through the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (APAC), Hannah’s qualification is accredited  by Play Therapy UK (PTUK)This was the first Play Therapy organisation to have a register of therapists approved by the Professional Standards Authority. 

Completing over 500 hours of classroom training, Hannah gained extensive knowledge of the following subjects:

– Child development

– Attachment theory 

– Early childhood trauma

– Neurobiology

– Child psychology

Hannah also completed over 200 hours of clinical training, working directly with children in a therapeutic setting. This experience allowed her to apply her classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios, under the guidance of a clinical supervisor.
